"I'm Not Alright"

A year ago at this time, I was approaching the sixth month of living alone.

I had taken a new job. I left my family 1,000 miles away and figured it wouldn't take more than a few weeks to sell our house and get them to our new home. I drove off my street of 13 years, and the bottom dropped out of the U.S. economy. Months went by with very little movement with the house sale. Other things happened that seemed like signs that I had made the worst decision of my life.

And this was my anthem:

Sanctus Real -- "I'm Not Alright"

I put on a cheerful face for my new work associates and went home to the emptiest apartment in the history of the world. A year later, things are not perfect, but they just might be falling into place. My favorite lyrics of this "Sanctus Real" tune are:

I'm not alright
  I'm broken inside, broken inside
And all I go through
Leads me to you, leads me to you

Paul says it this way in 2 Corinthians 12:

10That is why, for Christ's sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
